How effective zinc oxide products are for repelling the sun
- How strongly a product prevents sunburn depends on how much zinc oxide is used in the product. Of course, percentages of zinc oxide vary, and the final percentage will determine the products specified SPF level.
- In sunscreens, zinc oxide percentages are around 25 to 30 percent.
- Naturally, The less zinc oxide that is used, the shorter the window of protection. As a result, SPF 15 will therefore last for less time than SPF 30, which contains more zinc.

Good Gear Naturals Sunscreen for our equine family members works a treat, I genuinely love this product… well in actual fact I love all the products from Good Gear Naturals range, but this product in particular is amazing it has been so well designed and lasts such a long time too especially when wet season hits being formulated to be waterproof is amazing so you never have to worry about it washing off and wasting any product unlike other products I’ve tried and don’t work at all and are not waterproof, I highly recommend this product for you equine family members??
